WELCOME TO 7thGrade Math!!

September 8, 2009

Dear Parents and Students,

I would like to welcome you to 7th grade math!  In order to be successful in 7th grade math, students are required to come to class prepared with all supplies.  All classwork and homework must be completed in Pencil.  They must also focus on daily lessons, become actively engaged in classroom activities, and dedicated to completing assignments.  Students are responsible for making up missing assignments due to absences and it is also important to copy class notes from another student in their class.  Homework is a vital part of your child’s instruction.  It is a very important part of learning academic responsibility and practicing good study habits and study skills.  All work is to be shown to receive full credit.  Homework is assigned on a regular basis in a variety of formats.  Each assignment is graded using a four point rubric.  The rubric will be created and reviewed with the students.  After an assignment is graded, your child has the opportunity to revise the assignment for an improved grade.
